Out-door Training Area

Since completing the main academy in July 2007, my next project was to develope the out door training area in the rear garden. In 2008, I managed to purchase the next door garden which finally gave me the space needed to start this project. Work began in the Whitsun break with David Richardson and I clearing the gardens of all the weeds etc that had built up over the last few years.

On Monday 1st June 2009, Paul Evans turned up and we started work in ernest. We prepared the ground lifting the old slabs etc and then dug out the foundations for the boundary wall. The concrete foundations were then poured in and after a couple of days to go off, Paul started to build the wall using concrete blocks.

The old back boundary wall had to be rebuilt in places due to the old mortar being so soft. New capping stones were then laid on top of the wall.
